Whether splitting up the group to assemble parts of one great meal, or a "cook-off" when teams compete in creating the most delicious (or unique) dish.
CAMAJE classes bring together finger-licking fun and an educational experience.

We have taught new corporate teams just meeting, bridal showers of lifelong friends, and at times simply one couple cooking for another in a new setting.
The culinary curious are drawn to our private classes held within the operating restaurant.
They come away with new appreciation for not only the food and wine, but insight into the workings of a professional kitchen.

Chef Abby Hitchcock can design a custom cooking class with menus and techniques in just about every cuisine.
Private at-home classes or private chef-for-a-night events can also be arranged.
Our One Night Stand class is designed for 1 or more cooks preparing a three course meal for a group of family and/or friends.

Private cooking classes or team-building
events can be arranged for groups of 1 to 20 students.

Private classes start at $275 for 1 person, and $75 for each additional person up to and including the 6th
7, 8 or 9 people are $100 each
$125 each covers parties of 10 to 20 people.

Classes typically run 3 - 4 hours and all class prices include the price of the meal, the class itself, tax, gratuity, and 3 glasses of wine or beer per person.

Classes of 7 or more held during Weekday afternoons (ending before 6pm) receive a 10% discount.
Friday and Saturday evening classes have a minimum of $1250.

**All Private Class reservations require a Credit Card to hold the date, and there is a
two week cancellation policy**

Private Wine Tastings

Wine tastings are always fun, informative; a great way for old (and new) friends to bond. Hosted by a certified sommelier (usually Chef Abby). $45 per person includes eight wines and cheeses from Murray's Cheese Shop. $65 per person includes same, and we pair assorted appetizers, hors d'oeuvre & mezze to match the theme of the wine tasting. Wine tastings can accommodate up to 30 people and can also be held at our sister restaurant, Abigail Cafe & Wine Bar in Brooklyn.

Classes and tastings can be mixed such as Mediterranean Wines and Mezze or Riojas and Tapas.

Cooking Demonstrations can also be fun for larger groups and can be held at CAMAJE in Greenwhich Village, our sister restaurant Abigail Cafe & Wine Bar in Brooklyn, in your home, office, or even in Tahiti (client covers travel expenses).
