These works represent the conflict and compromise of technology and nature, the figurative and the fantasty.  They are multi-layered digital images, scans of my pastel paintings and digital photographs. They are my attempt to reflect how gorgeous and absurd and duplicitous life is.  My photographic eye and digital creativity have come to a happy coupling during the last dozen years.  These are some of the fruits born of this marriage.

Bio:

I was born in 1975 in Philadelphia and moved all around the country before settling on the East End of Long Island in 1982.  After graduating High School and Hampshire College, I lived and went to school in New York, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Arizona.  I have been abroad several times and traveled cross country more than a dozen times.  I have been in a wheelchair for just over six years due to a car accident in Tucson.  Obviously this changed my life dramatically, but thankfully I can still play my guitar, paint, take photos, and work on a computer making art and writing poetry and prose.   All these experiences have had a profound effect, both negative and positive, on me and my art.  I now live in Greenwich Village with my beautiful wife Abigail Hitchcock and have been showing art and reading poems here and the East-end of Long Island since moving back to the area in 2003. I am currently working on my art and managing CAMAJE Bistro.
